NRC Substance Abuse Expert
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) rules provide for the protection of public health and safety and the common defense and security. The NRC Substance Abuse Expert (SAE) must possess one of the following credentials and successfully complete specific qualification training and pass a qualifying exam. In addition, the Qualified Substance Abuse Expert must possess specific knowledge and experience as delineated in 10 CFR Part 26. SAE's are involved in the Fitness for Duty process.
